Long before I ever picked up a camera, I was enchanted by the the power of a good photograph.  What else can stop time, revive a lost memory, and turn intangibles like love, joy, and connection into something you can see and hold? It is absolute magic. When I became a mother, I wanted to catch all the fleeting moments of joy and laughter in my own home. I wanted to remember the tiny faces, the silly smiles, the firsts and lasts, all the small moments that made up our story. While my husband and I were raising our five children, I began to learn the craft of photography. After years of photographing my own family, it is a delight to now use all I have learned to capture memories for others. It is an honor each time I am invited to capture a family's unique connection or to get to know a senior as they are in the whirlwind of making big plans. I love directing shoots and finding ways to let each person's authentic self shine through. And while I always makes sure we get some some classic poses that will look amazing framed on your wall, my favorite part of a session is when everyone finally relaxes and I catch those candid moments of warmth, connection, and love.
